Meet Angi Weston
Angi has been coaching mountain bike skills since 2002 and is Level 3 certified through the Bicycle Instructor Certification Program (BICP) making her one of the most qualified and experienced mountain bike coaches in North America.
In February of 2018 she launched Radical Roots MTB Instruction, and is now offering private and small group lessons, custom training courses for MTB coaches, group events, and expert guiding in and around Bellingham, WA. It is Angi's mission to get more people, especially women and girls, riding and loving bikes. Teaching is a great passion of hers and it shows in her enthusiastic and patient approach.
In the nearly two decades that she has been mountain biking she has dabbled in racing downhill, Super D, enduro, cross-country, cyclocross, and coaster-brake klunkers, but it has always been coaching that brought her the most enjoyment and fulfillment.
Her reputation for being a fun and effective coach means she gets invited to travel to many renown women's skills clinics around the country. She helped start the Women's Downhill Weekend at Snowshoe Bike Park back in 2008 (and it's still going strong). 2019 marks her 11th year coaching for one of the largest women's specific clinics in the country - Women's Weekend at Ray's Indoor Mountain Bike Park. Angi coaches at every Sugar Showdown - the only women's specific ride-style clinic and competition. She's also had a role as the Director of Coaching for the ever-popular Ladies AllRide series which she helped start back in 2014.
